ENAR is a network of European NGOs working to combat racism in all the EU member states, created in the framework of the 1997 European Year Against Racism. It endorses the recognition by NGOs of the European dimension to the fight against racism, as well it promotes equality of treatment between EU citizens and third country nationals, and to link local/regional/national initiatives with European initiatives. The network is determined to act against the discrimination and exclusion of people of different racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds; eliminate racist elements in Europe's migration policies, and celebrate cultural, ethnic and racial diversity.

ENAR és una xaxa d’ONGs europees que treballen per combatre el racisme en tots els estats membres de la UE, creada l’any 1997 en el marc de l’Any Europeu contra el Racisme. La xarxa aprova el reconeixement de la lluita contra el racisme per part d’ONGs de dimensió europea, així com també promou la igualtat de tracte entre els ciutadans de la UE i els de tercers països i la unió de les iniciatives locals/regionals/nacional amb aquelles de dimensió europea. La xarxa es proposa actuar en contra de la discriminació i l’exclusió de les persones amb origens racials, ètnics o culturals diferents; eliminar els elements racistes de les polítiques europees sobre migració i celebrar la diversitat cultural, ètnica i racial.

LPRU, com a part del Laboratori d’Estudis sobre Política Educativa, promou la recerca i l’anàlisi politiques al voltant dels reptes i les oportunitats que conforma el plurilingüisme tant a nivell nacional com global. HRI is dedicated to the empowerment of human rights activists and organisations, and to the education of governmental and intergovernmental agencies and officials and other actors in the public and private sphere, on human rights issues and the role of civil society. When it was founded in 1976, HRI was known as Internet: the International Human Rights Documentation Network. Thus, the term Internet was used to identify an international network of human rights organisations and documentation, not the sprawling virtual community that everyone has come to know today. This approach is in keeping with HRI's solidarity-building and networking, its human rights education efforts, its massive databases and documentation collections, and its ability to bring together the similar strategies of various, and sometimes remote, human rights organisations.

L’HRI es dedica a autoritzar els activistes i organitzacions que treballen pels drets humans, així com a la formació al voltant dels drets humans i del paper de la societat civil de les agències i funcionaris governamentals i intergovernamentals i d’altres actors dels àmbits públic i privat. Quan fou fundat l’any 1976, l’HRI es va donar a conèixer amb el nom d’Internet: xarxa internacional de documentació sobre drets humans. Així, el terme internet va ser emprat per a designar aquesta xarxa internacional d’organitzacions per als drets humans i de documentació, no l’extensa comunitat virtual que tothom coneix avui dia.
Aquest tarannà està en consonància amb els principis de treball solidari i en xarxa de l’HRI, els seus esforços en l’educació sobre els drets humans, les seves grans recopilacions de bibliografía i de bases de dades i la seva capacitat d’aplegar estratègies semblants de les diverses, i de vegades remotes, organitzacions pels drets humans.
