Grand-Ducal Regulation of July 30, 1999, on the Reform of the Luxembourgish Official Spelling System[1]

Art. 1. The ministry’s order of October 10, 1975, on the reform of Luxembourger official spelling system shall be abrogated. Nevertheless, its annex shall be considered as part of the present regulation.

Art. 2. The official spelling of the Luxembourger language is based on those principles revised and modified by the Permanent Council of the Luxembourger Language as exposed in the annex of this regulation, which modifies the annex of the aforementioned ministry’s order.

Art 3. Our Culture Ministry is in charge of the execution of the present regulation, which shall be published in the Mémorial.

Art. 4. The present regulation will come into force on the day of its publication in the Mémorial.
